The smartphone is a successor to Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA Ultra that were announced in January this year. The XA2 Plus features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor and comes in variants with either 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage, or 6GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage.
"Xperia XA2 Plus further improves on Sony's innovation with a reimagined 18:9 display, Sony's Hi-Res Audio and powerful camera technology, to offer a unique content consumption and creation device for consumers at this section of the market", said Hideyuki Furumi, Executive Deputy President at Sony Mobile Communications.
This Is the Galaxy Note 9's New S Pen
As we get closer to Samsung's Unpacked press conference on August 9th, we're bound to see even more Note 9 leaks... like this one. The device will release on August 24th in the country, so expect the USA release to take place before or on the same date.
The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus is a 6-inch "super mid-range" handset, with metallic design and Sony's High-Resolution Audio and DSEE HX audio upscaling technologies on-board.
Sony on Wednesday welcomed a new member to its XA2 family of smartphones. Thanks to its more contemporary 18:9 display aspect ratio, it is however slightly narrower and slightly shorter, making it more compact in the hand. Really, it comes down to whether or not you're satisfied with the current crop of mid-grade phones or would prefer Sony's latest take on Android at a more wallet-friendly price. A 3580mAh battery backs the device with Qnovo adaptive charging and Quick Charge 3.0. Meanwhile, it also gets an 8MP selfie sensor, with f/2.4 aperture and a 120-degree wide-angle lens. The so-called Xperia XZ3 is already in development and it might go official as early as August when IFA 2018 is kicking off. Connecitivity options on this phone include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and USB Type-C. It also features a fingerprint sensor at the back.
