Niantic is celebrating the second anniversary of its augmented reality title Pokemon Go with a heavier sprinkling of Pikachu and a reveal of Mythical Pokemon Celebi. The company announced in a blog post that starting tomorrow and running through the end of the month, there will be a few changes to the Pokémon GO app in commemoration...
As part of the celebration, the maximum amount of Pokemon that players can store has been increased from 1500 to 2000. The ability to house 500 more Pokemon is nothing to sneeze at, and the hardcore collectors out there are likely quite pleased with this development. There will also be a special "Summer Style" Pikachu with a killer straw hat.
As of press time, players have not discovered a Shiny variant of the Summer Style Pikachu, so it doesn't appear that it's possible to get a Shiny variant at this time. To mark the occasion, Niantic is hosting a new event which will see Pikachu and Pichu spawn more frequently from now until July 31st.
Suns' Booker signs 5-year, $158 million deal
Booker has 4,120 career points and eclipsed the 4,000-point mark on March 2, 2018, at the age of 21 years, 123 days old. The team announced the completion of the deal and Booker took to Twitter as well.
Video game stories from other sites on the web. As was the case with Mew, Celebi will be the subject of a new Special Research quest.
Though the event has been confirmed to be coming, Niantic has not specified an exact date, simply stating that it will be available globally "in the near future".
