George Clooney Seriously Injured in Scooter Accident in Sardinia

Hollywood legend George Clooney sustained minor injuries after being involved in an accident while riding a motorized scooter in Sardinia, Italy on Tuesday morning, according to local media.

George Clooney was injured in a road accident in Italy today when his scooter collided with a vehicle. He added that Clooney would be monitored by hospital staff as an outpatient for 20 days.

The 57-year-old was hit by a vehicle while riding his scooter on the island of Sardinia, officials confirmed to NBC News.

The driver of the other vehicle tended to Clooney until emergency workers arrived, local outlet La Nuova reported. In fact, the actor said in an interview a year ago that he fell in love with his wife Amal Clooney after meeting her in the area in 2013.

Clooney has a home with his wife, human rights lawyer Amal, on the Italian mainland, on Lake Como.
