According to reports, the 31-year-old was meant to be joining Giggs and DJ Khaled at the annual festival, but now perhaps he'll headline instead.

Following Khaled's withdrawal, festival organizers promised they were "working on something special that won't disappoint".

This understandably left many of those with tickets angry and annoyed.

Hours before climbing on stage, Davido had been spotted backstage wearing a red top with the inscription, "Long Live Olu", which is a tribute to his late friend, DJ Olu, who died mysteriously in 2017.

The Wireless Festival was held on the weekend of Friday July 6 - July 8, and had Nigeria's Davido performing on the second day of the event alongside other worldwide acts like Stormzy, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Migos.

Over the weekend, Davido performed at the Wireless Festival in United Kingdom and it was lit - not just because of his energetic performance.
