Armless South Beach artist accused of stabbing man with scissors

Jonathan Crenshaw, 46, is accused of holding a pair of scissors with his feet and stabbing 22-year-old Cesar Coronado just after midnight on Tuesday morning, according to Miami Beach police.

Crenshaw spent most of his time in South Beach creating paintings using only his feet, drawing the attention of tourists walking by him. Crenshaw told officers he clutched the scissors with his feet and stabbed Coronado twice.

Crenshaw was booked for battery charges on Tuesday night and his bond was set at $7,500, according to Miami-Dade Corrections.

A friend who was travelling with Coronado said they asked Crenshaw for directions when he suddenly jumped up and stabbed Coronado in his arm.

A homeless South Florida man with no arms has been charged with stabbing a Chicago tourist. Paramedics took him to an area hospital for treatment.

Crenshaw, who told police he acted in self-defense, was being held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami.

In a freaky incident, a 46-year-old homeless was arrested for stabbing a tourist with a pair of scissors using his feet.

Police said there were no indications that Crenshaw was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the incident. He's now being held on a $7,500 bond at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. His court date will be on July18.
