The mega-popular battle royale game is launching on Nintendo's newest console today at 10 a.m. PT. Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aimé confirmed the news during Nintendo's E3 2018 presentation Tuesday morning. We still don't know what new Smash looks like, how many characters it'll feature, or even if it's a port of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS updated for the Nintendo Switch. Smash Ultimate will launch on Nintendo Switch December 7, 2018. This all appears to emphasize Nintendo's burgeoning esports aspirations, with a list of ridiculous details clearly meant for a specific hardcore audience. There also seems to be a little influence from 1-2 Switch in the form of players sharing information outside of the game to win events.

Nintendo did announce other games, we swear.

Triple Crown victor Justify

Once again, the game will be a mix of minigames and boards, unlike the previous release, Mario Party: The Top 100. Ultimate using Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers, the game will be compatible with multiple styles of control.
