Minnows Scotland go wild as they seal first ODI victory over England

After Scotland's thrilling victory over the No.1 ranked ODI side England at Edinburgh, their two-match T20I series against Pakistan will be broadcast live for Indian viewers from Sportskeeda on Facebook.

And it meant England would have to beat their highest winning total batting second in an ODI - 350 for three against New Zealand at Trent Bridge in 2015 - if they were to defeat Scotland in this stand-alone match.

This was Scotland's first match since March, when they narrowly missed out on qualification for the 2019 World Cup in England and Wales.

Moeen picked out long-on and Adil Rashid was needlessly run out at the start of the 49th over, before Safyaan Sharif trapped Mark Wood lbw with a superb, inswinging yorker to end England's innings on 365.

"The way we played, we didn't deserve to win it. We want to be fearless enough to walk through the door and win games".

"We want more games".

He added: "It does not take away what happened in Zimbabwe and everyone's feelings about the 10-team World Cup but this was a special day. That is the bigger shop window rather than personal side of it", said MacLeod.

Scotland's first win in worldwide cricket over England came in their first match since they were cruelly denied a place at next year's World Cup after a poor umpiring decision and rain saw them miss out in their final qualifier against the West Indies in Harare in March. This should be a catalyst for more games.
