Few Storm Chances For Monday

This hot, humid and active weather pattern continues.

The best chance of those will be in north and north-central Alabama. Wind: S 10-20; gusty. Lots of lightning and heavy downpours are associated with these storms.

We'll continue to monitor the rain chances throughout the week. Then by Friday, another front gets close and will increase our rain chances for Friday and Saturday before pushing offshore for the weekend.

Temps today will be well below average along the coast this afternoon with the numbers holding in the low to mid 60s. We can expect mostly cloudy skies with perhaps some sunshine breaking through the clouds later this afternoon.

Next week finally brings some relief with more seasonal temperatures with storm chances returning late Monday into Tuesday. Beyond Wednesday, rain chances become minimal as high temperatures creep back into the 90s for the second half of the week. Damaging winds and some hail is possible with those storms through late evening into the overnight.
