EA E3 2018: Anthem

Federation Internationale de Football Association 19's existence is no surprise, but the big news is that EA Sports have confirmed it will feature the officially licensed Champions League competition for the first time. We've been hearing about Anthem for a while now, and we've even got a snazzy "gameplay" trailer that shows off the impressive look of the game. Electronic Arts is leading the charge this year, unofficially kicking off E3 tomorrow, June 9.

What did you think of the EA showcase? The game will be released on August 10th 2018.

Perhaps one of the biggest announcements was that Battlefiled V would feature a new battle royale mode, following the footsteps of Battlefield's competitior Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Also, EA has said that no premium passes will be required for users to play nor will there be any lootboxes.

Arguably one of the most popular games on this planet, the Federation Internationale de Football Association franchise continues with the latest edition called Federation Internationale de Football Association 19. Moreover, there will be no "pay-for-power" advantages in-game.

Bioware revealed some more of the game's story as well as you will be playing one of the Freelancers, a group capable of wearing and operating the special Javelin exo-suits, which will be necessary to navigate this unsafe world. "We are going to have some cosmetics and vanity items that you'll be able to purchase, but you're always going to know what you're going to buy before you spend any money on it", Mark Darrah, Executive Producer at BioWare explained (thanks IGN). The game is set to release later this year. That raises the spectre of microtransactions but EA says that anything that's able to be bought will also be available for free simply by playing the game.

The biggest reveal has to go to the highly-anticipated game Anthem. From the first shot, the trailer proudly proclaims that users are seeing actual game engine footage. The Clone Wars will be coming to the game too, with iconic prequel-era characters like General Grievous, Count Dooku, and Anakin Skywalker finally making their way to Battlefront 2.

While it looks similar to Destiny in being an open-world shooter where you roam, find objectives and gather loot, they stressed how a big draw was combining four-player co-op with classic BioWare-style conversation trees and big choices - so hopefully we'll see more of that side soon. Players will be able to customize and personalize their suits with unique paint jobs and gear so they'll have the right tools to confront nearly any situation, and look good doing it.
