E3 2018 - Devolver Digital Announce Updated Version of Metal Wolf Chaos

If you've not heard of it before, we don't blame you.

FromSoftware released the Metal Wolf Chaos third-person shooter game in Japan only on the Xbox console in 2004. The game developed a small cult following for its absurd premise. The title follows Michael Wilson, a distant relative of former president Woodrow Wilson, as he becomes President of the United States.

It's a presidential showdown as Wilson makes his way across the control in an enormous mech called Metal Wolf in a bid to remove Hawk from power. From there, he launches a one-man - err.mech? - campaign to take back his country.

Metal Wolf Chaos XD will becoming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC later this year.

The game's absurdly patriotic story and wild action gameplay made it a favorite amongst Western gamers who largely only ever experienced the game via YouTube videos and shared screenshots.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice isn't the only new From Software game announced at E3 2018: Devolver Digital has announced it will also publish a game by the Dark Souls studio. It'll sport remastered visuals, widescreen format and the original voice cast. The company posted a Twitter post later that month to FromSoftware's Yasunori Ogura stating, "Give us a shout, we'd love to talk about Metal Wolf Chaos!".
