Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Is Free for PS Plus Users


Activision's shooter is only available to PS Plus members until July 11, and will give players a taster of what's to come when Black Ops 4 releases on October 12, 2018.

Activision revealed at E3 that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 won't be getting just one special edition but in fact will have three different special editions for fans to choose from.

Black Ops Pass will be available as a standalone offering at a later date.

The Black Ops Pass demands players pay $99 up front for "Black Ops 4" DLC.

PlayStation 4 Europe and Xbox One: If you own a copy of the game, you can purchase a separate upgrade to your base version through the PSN Store or Xbox Store to receive the Black Ops Pass.

The other Call of Duty news (which was previously reported) is that the classic Slums, Jungle, Summit, and Firing Range maps will be remade for Black Ops 4. This pre-order offer is open to all PS4 owners via PS Store, so don't miss out.

Black Ops 4 will now ask that you buy the Black Ops Pass, or simply play the game without DLC.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 comes to PS4, Xbox One and PC Oct. 19.

It should be noted that Activision haven't shared anything on the subject yet and will likely not make an announcement until the week of E3.

We're shown some multiplayer in-game footage to start, and with Vonderhaar explaining that the developers have taken the Specialists that they started in Call of Duty Black Ops 3 and rebuilt or reimagined them with Specialists being a main focus of the game. Interestingly, this was the first year in quite a while that Call of Duty didn't spend much time in the spotlight.
