Tottenham midfielder Winks signs new long-term deal

Harry Winks has become the latest first-team player to sign a new contract with Tottenham Hotspur after the conclusion of the 2017/18 season.

Winks has made 25 appearances this season however exclusively three because the flip of the 12 months, all within the FA Cup.

The injury cost the 22-year-old any chance of making the England squad for the World Cup in Russian Federation this summer and he is scheduled for surgery.

The England worldwide is due to undergo surgery on the problem this summer and the club say they expect him to be back in time for pre-season training.

"I'm delighted to sign a new contract with the club", Winks told his club's official website.

Central defender Cameron Carter-Vickers, 20, has also committed his future to Tottenham by agreeing a new contract until 2021.

Carter-Vickers is believed to be prepared to return to the Tractor Boys next season, but could find himself providing cover for the Spurs first-team, if they part ways with Toby Alderweireld. I really feel like I've improved as a participant and it is undoubtedly benefited me.
