The electrifying trailer for Freddy Mercury biopic 'Bohemian Rhapsody' is finally here

The highly anticipated biopic of music legend Freddy Mercury and his rise to fame with British rock band Queen has finally released its first trailer.

Bohemian Rhapsody was written by Anthony McCarten who was nominated for the 2015 Oscar Best Writing award for The Theory of Everything.

The trailer shows Malek as Mercury throughout his musical career, singing iconic performances of hits like "Killer Queen" and "We Are The Champions", and delivering one-liners in the Queen front man's unique accent.

One of music's biggest names is finally getting a spotlight biopic on the big screen come November 2nd.

In an interview with a USA radio station, Baron Cohen said the band wanted the death of Mercury to take place in the middle of the film, and for the second half of the film to follow the afterlife of the band. In the subsequent years, the cast and crew of Bohemian Rhapsody saw many major and minor controversies including the firing of the previous director Bryan Singer, and Sacha Baron Cohen leaving the project and quitting his role as Freddie Mercury midway.

The movie Bohemian Rhapsody is produced by mainframe companies like 20th Century Fox and Regency Enterprises, and has been through an on and off production cycle since 2010.
