Super Eagles: A good list with promising players, says Okala

Most of the players that ensured Nigeria qualified for the World Cup were included in the squad.

Okala said that he personally saw the provisional list as a good list "with lots of hope in it".

"He (Rohr) is in charge and I know he always do the best for the country".

Ogu could not hide his joy when tweeted after learning of his inclusion in the list, " I feel blessed and honoured to be in the 30-man provisional list to the World Cup.

Captain Mikel Obi, goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa, defenders Abdullahi Shehu, Elderson Echiejile and Leon Balogun, as well as midfielders Ogenyi Onazi and Oghenekaro Etebo and forwards Ahmed Musa and Victor Moses all made the list.

The list also includes defenders William Ekong, Kenneth Omeruo and Olaoluwa Aina, midfielders Wilfred Ndidi, Joel Obi and John Ogu and forwards Kelechi Iheanacho, Moses Simon and Alex Iwobi.

Legendary Super Eagles goalkeeper, Peter Rufai would not go with the popular call for Francis Uzoho to be the anointed first choice goalkeeper at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
