Eros International, Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Films' Bhavesh Joshi Superhero starring Harshvardhan Kapoor directed by Vikramaditya Motwane will release worldwide on 1st June 2018. "The Hollywood release Deadpool 2 (releasing this Friday) will be in its second week by then and that could be another reason that the film may not be getting good shows".
A source claims, "The makers believe 1st June is a better date from a distributional point of view".
Explaining the reason behind the change, the makers said in a statement, "It has a greater audience potential and is a safe distance away from holdover Hindi and English releases".
Bhavesh Joshi Superhero is Harshvardhan's second film, first being Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's 2016 fantasy romance Mirzya.

Race 3 actor Anil Kapoor's children, Sonam and Harshvardhan are headed for a fight for the top spot at the box office this June. June 1 was considered to have greater expectancy for larger footfall as there's a gap between big releases hitting screens in May and the selected date. The film is based on the story of a common man, who undertakes the role of a superhero owing to multiple incidents.
