RUMOR - Plot Synopsis For Obi-Wan Spinoff Film

The latest rumours come after McGregor spoke about possibly playing the role of Obi-Wan again as he chatted to reporters at this year's Golden Globes. Obi-Wan will allegedly begin with Kenobi living as a hermit on Tatooine, as he secretly watches over the young Luke Skywalker. It will be set on the planet of Tatooine and will follow Obi-Wan who is now living in exile and only comes out of hiding when a tribe of Sand People and local Tatooine farmers begin feuding, in which presumably Obi-Wan will play a role in defusing the situation.

While we're only a week away from finally seeing the second standalone Star Wars film Solo: A Star Wars Story, easily the most anticipated Star Wars spinoff film is one focusing on Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Reportedly, the movie will take place close to the events of Star Wars: A New Hope and likely brand the cutting-edge title of "Obi-Wan: A Star Wars Story".

According to a report by TMZ, Oscar-nominated director Stephen Daldry (Billy Elliot, The Crown) will potentially helm the rumored project.Previous rumors also indicatedDaldry will be collaborating with Lucasfilm to oversee both writing and development.

"Tensions between the local farmers and a tribe of Sand People - headed by a ruthless war chief - eventually brings Obi outta hiding. and into Jedi kick-ass mode", the document explains, according to TMZ.

Referred to as "market cap", it is determined by doubling a company's shares outstanding by the current market price of one share. Individual investors may have done the research, had some good fortune, and are now dealing with a big victor in the portfolio.

The synopsis is one out of the Star Wars Legends vault, sounding very much like the Kenobi novel by John Jackson Miller - which is fantastic. We already know "Solo" is created to start a new franchise and that Alden Ehrenreich signed a three-picture deal with Lucasfilm.

There have been fans who want Ewan McGregor to reprise the role in a future film, and he's said he's been open to it.

More specifically, TMZ's shared what the plot could be about as well.

Whatever the truth is, we don't expect Lucasfilm/Disney to tip their hand until they're absolutely ready. Take it with a grain of salt for now and hopefully we'll have the official details soon.
