Rapper TI has been arrested outside of Atlanta

T.I. was arrested early Wednesday for alleged disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

At some point during the exchange, the Henry County Police Department was called to the scene and T.I. and his friend, who were both said to be arguing with the guard, were arrested. He paid a bail of $2,250.

Local Atlanta WSB-TV station reported that T.I. was arrested around 4 a.m.as he tried returning to the gated community where he lives at the Eagles' Landing Country Club.

Rapper T.I. got arrested in Georgia after he allegedly got into an altercation with a security guard in his own gated community, but he's implying that racism was at the heart of the arrest.

TMZ is now reporting that the security guard who called cops on T.I. wasn't awake ... according to the so called King of the South, who says the guy was sleeping like a baby when he pulled up to the guard shack.

According to reports, the incident went down a few hours ago when a guard wouldn't allow Tip into the neighborhood without his key.

"It took Tip some time to wake up the sleeping guard", Sadow wrote.

Police also say T.I. did NOT make physical contact with the security guard, but the guard feared he would be hit during the dispute. "Tip clearly identified himself and sought entry", his attorney Steve Sadow wrote on Facebook. "Tip [aka "T.I.'] was wrongfully arrested early this morning when he attempted to gain entrance into his gated community - where his wife 'Tiny" and his family reside", the statement began.
