Adamu gave his response to the issue during an interview session with Channels TV.

Two of the senators have however felt the heat, as Adamu, who was one of the ring leaders of the opposition to the amendment, was unceremoniously removed as the Chairman of the influential NSF, while Omo-Agege recanted and withdrew his comments.

Adamu who was the arrowhead of the group of 10 senators that briefed journalists last week Wednesday, as soon as the Senate adopted the election sequence, kicked against the move. He was replaced with Senator Aliyu Wamakko.

This was disclosed by the deputy president of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, at the close of plenary on Wednesday, February 21.

Other northern senators like Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi and Hamman Isah Missau, also hinged the removal of Senator Adamu as chairman of the Senate's Northern caucus on alleged mismanagement of the N70million. "Find the attached names and signatories of members", the letter read. There are some things that some of my colleagues can not say but I'm not used to holding back what is the truth.
