Texas Girl Scouts pay it forward with cookies for Hurricane Harvey responders

It's nearly Girl Scout Cookie time! Almost 1 million Girl Scouts participate in the cookie program each year, generating nearly $800 million in sales during the average season. On Saturday, January 6, Girl Scouts of CT will kick off the beginning of the 2018 cookie season by hosting two Cookie Rallies to help prepare girls to become the next century of female entrepreneurs! "After the initial orders comes in, the cookies are available the twenty-first of February". The program runs through March 25.

The program will let those who are purchasing Girl Scouts from a local troop donate part (or all) of their purchase to the first responders - firefighters, paramedics and police officers - who supported those in the Houston community during the hurricane's devastating rainfall and flooding.

During the cookie selling season the girls "earn and learn".

When one make a Girl Scout Cookie purchase, they're helping the next generation of girl entrepreneurs get an important taste of what it takes to be successful - teamwork, planning, and a positive outlook.
