Steve Kerr Criticizes Sports Media Coverage of LaVar Ball's Tirades

"That was a pathetic performance by our team", said Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich.

However, Kerr and other National Basketball Association coaches were recently prompted to speak up against Ball's recent tirades that were aimed at L.A. Lakers head coach Luke Walton.

On the morning of the game against the Hawks, Walton and his rookie point guard were forced to answer several questions about whether he still has the locker room and their relationship.

"We didn't play well for the majority of the game", the Spaniard said after the game.

But when it comes to their playoff chances, the Lakers might not be doomed after all. "We got close a couple of times, but then we would turn it over some more due to [the Lakers'] defensive pressure". "Nobody wants to. But our bosses tell us we have to, because of the ratings, because of the readership.' Somewhere - I guess (LaVar) is in Lithuania - LaVar Ball is laughing at all of us", Kerr added. "We made too many mental mistakes, made some really bad turnovers that are just head-scratchers".

Notes The Lakers held the Spurs to an opponent-season-low 15 points in the first quarter.

Even when he learned she was not, he asked whether or not he should rent a hotel room and asked her to join him. Vince Jolivette, Franco's production partner who helped run the school, said he would investigate the matter.

"If LeBron is strongly considering the Lakers, they have to understand LaVar would be a deterrent", Broussard said, as transcribed by The Big Lead. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope played a solid defensive game and contributed down the stretch with 10 points and four rebounds. Moreover, the Lakers would win their third straight. Kawhi Leonard (left shoulder tear), Danny Green (left groin tightness) and Rudy Gay (right heel bursitis) are all ailing in one way or another, and could miss San Antonio's next game as a result. Now they are just three games back of the Utah Jazz, who are 10th out west.

I think everybody should take a page from Popovich, who clearly thinks nothing of what LaVar has to say, and brush it off and move on. He responded with a calculated takedown of LaVar in which he referred to the Ball family patriarch as "just another fan in the peanut gallery" and said his opinion is "meaningless".

Popovich also revealed that Aldridge requested a trade last summer after a rough season. And I will drive you there, get you on the plane and get you seated.' He laughed, (and) I said, 'But short of that, I'm your best buddy, because you're here for another year, and you ain't going nowhere. Before we get to that game, however, let's take a look at some takeaways from last night.
