Marvel's Standalone 'Black Widow' Movie Gains Momentum With Jac Schaeffer Writing

Scarlett Johannsson has been portraying the famous character for almost eight years now, since first being introduced in 2010's Iron Man 2.

The Black Widow movie is going ahead and Marvel has hired scriptwriter Jac Schaeffer to pen the script for the Scarlett Johansson led superhero movie.

Are you looking forward to seeing a Black Widow movie? Schaffer made her feature film screenwriting debut with 2009's TiMER, which she also directed. Schaeffer also wrote "Nasty Women", a female-centric remake of Steve Martin and Michael Caine's comedy "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels".

Although a Black Widow movie has been a topic of discussion for years, this is the first time that it finally looks like it might become a reality.

Turan Joins Istanbul Basaksehir From Barcelona On Loan Deal
The 30-year-old struggled to make an impact at Barcelona after joining the club in summer 2015 from Ateltico Madrid. The negotiations intensified in the last hours and have culminated to a very unusual agreement.

Citing unnamed sources, reports reveal that Marvel president Kevin Feige has met with several candidates and ultimately tapped "The Blacklist" alum Jac Schaeffer to pen the potential spin-off. Kevin Feige later said that Black Widow was one of the characters that Marvel Studios is "creatively and emotionally" committed to giving solo movie attention to in Phase Four. Thor: Ragnarok was basically a cosmic buddy-cop outing with Thor and Hulk; Spider-Man: Homecoming heavily featured Iron Man, who served as the web-slinger's mentor; and as for Captain America: Civil War - well, that was basically just Avengers 2.5. Meanwhile, Black Widow will be back on the big screen this May 3 in "Avengers: Infinity War".

None of this is to suggest that a Black Widow solo movie will inevitably rob the eponymous heroine of the spotlight she deserves. After years and years of intense demand from fans, ScarJo's beloved Avenger will now get her very own movie and with talk of a possible R-rating to accompany it, people couldn't be more excited.
