Trump and Ball have been in the news since the Big Baller Brand owner seemingly downplayed Trump's role in the release of his son LiAngelo Ball and two UCLA Bruins players who had been arrested last week for shoplifting in China. "Ungrateful fool!" Trump finished.
In a series of Twitter posts, Trump said, "Lavar, you could have spent the next 5 to 10 years during Thanksgiving with your son in China, but no National Basketball Association contract to support you".
Trump took full credit in the latest tweet for intervening on behalf of Ball's son, LiAngelo Ball, and UCLA teammates Cody Riley and Jalen Hill, who were arrested on November 7 for allegedly stealing sunglasses from a Louis Vuitton store next to the team's hotel in Hangzhou, where the Bruins had been staying before leaving for Shanghai to face Georgia Tech.
The State Department typically takes the lead on cases involving U.S. citizens who are arrested overseas, and the U.S. Embassy in Beijing was aware of the case, officials said.
Over the past week, LaVar has been embroiled with a back and forth with the President over not thanking him for saving his sun glasses stealing son and his teammates in China.
As for who had helped free LiAngelo Ball from China, the president said: "IT WAS ME".
CBS, Dish Network dispute could mean no Cowboys-Chargers game for subscribers
On Monday night, Dish asked for a deadline extension to keep the channels on the air while the talks continued, but CBS refused. Dish blamed the dispute on CBS' demands for higher retransmission and cable affiliate fees even as viewership has declined.
That man, LaVar Ball, triggered outrage by not thanking the former Celebrity Apprentice star for his actions, saying "I have to know what somebody is doing before I say "thank you".
Ball also pushed back against Trump's suggestion that shoplifting "is a very big deal in China".
"It wasn't the White House, it wasn't the State Department, it wasn't the supposed men and women on the ground or even LaVar in China who got his son out from an extended jail sentence".
"If Hillary had taken my child out of jail, however much I disliked that woman, I'd thank that (...) corrupt", he included, utilizing a deceptive expression aimed directly at the Democrat Hillary Clinton, his competitor in previous year's political election. "I would have said, thank you kindly for that". "(The Chinese) do not play games".
"Tell Donald Trump to have a great Thanksgiving", he said.
LiAngelo and fellow UCLA freshmen Jalen Hill and Cody Riley have been suspended indefinitely.
