There has been no official release date set for the album as of press time, ComplexCon attendees received a special treat, a live listen to entire upcoming project.

"No_One Ever Really Dies" features 11 tracks and a handful of guest appearances from the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran, Future, M.I.A. and André 3000.

N.E.R.D. premiered their new album in Long Beach, California last night (November 4). Before "Don't Don't Do It", a collaboration with Kendrick, began, Pharrell explained the inspiration behind the song.

For now, fans can tide themselves over with the recently released single "Lemon", which features Rihanna. During the group's set, Pharrell shared, "The album is not coming out tomorrow".

This slowing down impairs the cells' ability to communicate, leading to mental lapses that can affect both perception and memory. Too little shuteye interfered with the neurons' ability to encode information and translate visual input into conscious thought.

"For all the people that really love us, we wanted to give you something that you really respect", Pharrell continued, encouraging the crowd to document the preview.

It was the brainchild of production duo The Neptunes (Pharrell Williamsand Chad Hugo) along with Shay Haley, who understood that the act of fracturing mainstream ideas of pop music could, paradoxically, serve as a connective tissue. Ahead of "Don't Don't Do It", the band's collaboration with Lamar, Williams explained the track was written after the fatal police shooting of Keith Lamont Scott in Charlotte, North Carolina a year ago.
