Holidays on Ice, presented by Home Federal Bank, opens Friday, Nov. 24, for another festive season of open-air ice skating in Market Square.
"There's no better way to spend "Black Friday" than coming downtown to enjoy skating on our open-air ice rink, do some local shopping and enjoy the lovely holiday decorations", said Judith Foltz, Knoxville's Director of Special Events.
It will be open from 9:00 a.m.to 9:00 p.m. daily from November 24 to January 7.
The rink is part of a $5.6 million budget that includes a contest to bring 32 peewee house league hockey teams from across the country to Ottawa for a tournament after Christmas.
Renting skates if free on Wednesday, but after that it'll cost $6 for kids (12 and under) and $8 for adults. Season passes are $50 for adults, $35 for children 12 and under. A skater liability form was also posted to the website.
