Vidya Balan recreates Sridevi's magic in 'Hawa Hawai 2.0'

"Tumhari Sulu" is a slice-of-life family film, directed by noted ad filmmaker Suresh Triveni, and produced by T-Series and Ellipsis Entertainment.

The best thing about Tumhari Sulu's version of Hawa Hawai is its connect with the original song -through the vocals of Kavita Krishnamurthy (who sang for Sridevi in Mr India) and of course, a sweet presence of the song's iconic star Sridevi (vis-a-vis a poster). However, it has been recreated by the singer Tanishk Bagchi and the song is said to be a party number and it features Vidya Balan, Neha Dhupia, and RJ Malishka.

While talking to media about the iconic song, Vidya Balan said: "No, no please don't say that".

Needless to say, he's far from the most deserving middleweight contender in the traditional sense. The former 170-pound champ was asked why he's returning after a successful run in the sport.

For Vidya shooting the 'Hawa Hawaii' track was a treat given the fact that she was a 5 year old girl when the song came out in 1987. It is a tribute to her, we are having fun. It's not like we are dancing in the song or doing Mombasa, King Kong and Hong Kong.

Tumhari Sulu releases on November 17th. "It's at a point where the whole radio team is enjoying the track and grooving to it". The actress has returned with another standalone film with Tumhari Sulu where she portrays the character of a woman who is a homemaker by day - and radio jockey by night. But has Vidya done justice to the latest version? Apart from Vidya Balan, the movie also starrs, Manav Kaul, who is playing the role of Vidya's husband, Neha Dhupia will be playing the role of Vidya's boss while RJ Mallishka will be seen playing the role of a co-RJ.

"I am elated to have such a cult number in the film", says director Suresh Triveni.
