Pope Francis Says Threatening DACA Isn't Pro

It is only when the people "take peace" in their hands, that it can end well.

"Those who deny this must go to the scientists and ask them".

They said in a statement that they "informed him about the worsening of the crisis and the radicalization of the government's stance".

The Trump administration announced September 5 that it would be taking steps to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, commonly known as DACA, which has benefited hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants who entered the U.S.as minors.

A Vatican official said at the time that the US move was a "slap in the face" for the pope and the Vatican. He spoke to me of troubles they are having, Francis said, "because so many of them are coming that there isn't time to settle them, find school, lodging, work, learn the language".

"If he is a good pro-life believer he must understand that family is the cradle of life and one must defend its unity", Francis said during an in-flight press conference on his plane, according to an Associated Press report.

Pope Francis has sharply criticized climate change doubters, saying history will judge those who failed to take the necessary decisions to curb heat-trapping emissions blamed for the warming of the Earth.

Asked why he thinks governments have been so slow to act, Pope Francis said he thinks it's partly because, as the Old Testament says, "Man is stupid, a stubborn one who does not see". He insisted, though, that he did not want to express his opinion because he prefers not to speak on issues he has not studied.

Francis added that climate change is a "serious matter over which we can not make jokes" as he insisted scientists had been perfectly clear. But he called attention to the suffering Mexico has endured, and called for prayer for that country.

Trump called the pope's statement "disgraceful", adding that "if and when the Vatican is attacked by ISIS, which as everyone knows is ISIS's ultimate trophy, I can promise you that the pope would have only wished and prayed that Donald Trump would have been president because this would not have happened". But, he said, this is not enough. Migrants, he said, must not only be welcomed, but integrated.

"And if a country is only able to integrate 20, let's say, then it should only accept that many". In unscripted comments at the last event of the day, he said he could not leave without mentioning the "painful memory" of "so many young lives truncated, discarded, destroyed".
