Theo Walcott managed to grab the opener, with Jack Wilshere playing a sublime ball into the Englishman, who was starting to look back to his best!

Less than two minutes later, Wilshere floated in a ball towards Walcott from the left.

The Arsenal striker scored in the 49th minute of Thursday's Europa League clash against BATE to reach his century for the club.

They were unlucky not to score again in the 17th minute as Wilshere put the ball in the back of the net, but Walcott was contentiously ruled to have been offside in the build-up.

After Mirko Ivanic had fired a shot narrowly wide, Arsenal doubled their lead in the 22nd minute when Walcott stroked the ball into the net from 15 yards out after latching on to Scherbitski's loose clearance.

Giroud signed for Arsenal from Montpellier in 2012, with the move worth around £9.6million, going on to win the FA Cup three times.

After 25 minutes it was 3-0 when Borisov failed to deal with the resulting corner and Per Mertesacker's header went in off Rob Holding for the latter's first Arsenal goal.

Borisov reduced the deficit nearly immediately when Ivanic headed Aleksei Rios' fine cross past David Opsina who then did well to keep out Igor Stasevich's inswinging free-kick.

Nevertheless, Arsenal continued to dominate.

He almost got a second son after as well but his shot from a goalmouth scramble crashed off the post.

Three minutes before the break Walcott was denied his hat-trick with a fine fingertip save from Scherbitski.

Any slim hopes of a comeback were gone immediately after the break when Arsenal were awarded a penalty for a shirt pull in the box, and Giroud dispatched from the spot easily. Arsenal made it 4-1 in the second-half thanks to Olivier Giroud's 100th goal for the club.

Nemanja Milunović then followed Dragun into the book for a pull-back on Walcott in the 64th minute. They found one just after the hour mark, Gordeychuk rifling the ball past David Ospina after a rebounded header.
