Beyonce, Clooney highlight NBC's Harvey benefit telethon

The United Way of Greater Houston, Habitat for Humanity, Save the Children, Direct Relief, Feeding Texas and The Mayor's Fund for Hurricane Harvey Relief will all benefit from the concert.

The telethon will come from three locations: Universal Studios lot, Times Square and Nashville's Grand Ole Opry with country star George Strait being beamed in from the Majestic Theater in San Antonio, Texas.

They're also planning to stream the telethon live on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.

Houston rap artist Bun B and Hollywood talent manager Scooter Braun organized the event. "It's personal for me because it's home to me, it's in my city, but it's a national disaster".

This will be the fourth edition of the Big Billion Day, and will be held from September 20 to 24, just ahead of Dussehra.

Chris Paul, Tyler Perry, Dennis Quaid, Questlove, Jeremy Renner, Julia Roberts, Kelly Rowland, Adam Sandler, Ryan Seacrest, Blake Shelton, David Spade, Gwen Stefani, Michael Strahan, George Strait, Barbra Streisand, Sofia Vergara, Kerry Washington, Chandra Wilson, Oprah Winfrey, Rita Wilson and Reese Witherspoon with more to be announced. Norah O'Donnell of CBS This Morning will also participate.

The telethon will air on each of the four major broadcast networks in ABC, Fox, NBC, and CBS; in addition to Bravo, E!

Hand in Hand will benefit charities assisting those displaced by both hurricanes Harvey and Irma. "Through the proceeds raised, we will rebuild the Lone Star State and make it greater than ever before". The reason we want people to tune is because we want people to show who we are.
