All of this will be joined by an 8th-generation Intel Core i7 processor, though Acer doesn't go into any more details about what lies under the hood. The display also incorporates Wacom EMR technology with support for 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity. And at IFA this year, Acer has improved the specifications, adding Intel's newest 8th-generation Core processors. Priced starting at $999 and expected to arrive in North American stores in December, it offers an eight-hour battery life, backlit keyboard, and support for "crisp videoconferencing" through Skype for Business certification.
The notebook is also the first built with Acer's AutoStand, an automatic kickstand feature that allows for one-handed operation. The laptops will be available in either 13-inch or 15-inch sizes and will be one of the more capable and impressive offerings in the convertible segment of laptops. Both the 13-inch and the 15-inch models will start at $799. The Acer Switch 7 Black Edition will be available from December for €1,999. The 15 inch variation is also available with the option for discrete NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics. The Spin 5 is meant primarily for daily use and will be able to squeeze through any mundane as well as stressing tasks for computing. The Swift 5 also features Acer TrueHarmony with Dolby Audio Premium Technology. The company has improved over the last iteration of the Spin, now featuring the latest 8 generation Intel processors to the mix.
